Celebration of the City Day and the Feast of St. Euphemia

The program begins on Thursday, September 11, at the Youth Center “Dr. Ing. Dino Škarpić, MBA”, where participants will have the opportunity to discover the charm of old games through the exhibition and presentation “I ʃuòghi da oûna vuòlta”, which will remain open until September 21.

On Friday, September 12, a workshop and exhibition of bukaleta (traditional Istrian pottery) will take place at the Gandusio Theater, while visitors to the Batana Eco-Museum will be able to compete in traditional games such as briškula, treseta, mora. A brass band will perform at the Small Pier to officially kick off the celebration.
The evening features the traditional Rovinj Festival of Istrian Supa (a traditional warm wine-based drink), along with concerts by Boo Bunnies and Dino Dvornik Tribute Band. At the Rovinj City Museum, the exhibition "The Man, the Painter, and the Poet" by Francesco Dessanti will open.

On Saturday, September 13, the day starts with the St. Euphemia Swimming Marathon, and at noon, pensioners will enjoy a free lunch on the main square, accompanied by performances by Anelidi and Vesna Nežić Ružić. In the afternoon, there will be an international water polo match, the traditional greased pole contest, and the batana regatta. In the evening, the Rovinj Wine Festival will be held, featuring Party Band and the popular band Koktelsi.

On Sunday, September 14, the sports program continues with the St. Euphemia Regatta, and in the evening, the town center will host another edition of Tunafest. Visitors can enjoy an evening of classical and jazz music with performances by Quinteto Ricreativo and Kristijan Terzić Band.

On Monday, September 15, at 11 AM, a ceremonial session of the City Council will be held at the Multimedia Center. At the Small Pier, visitors can taste fish prepared by local fishermen, and an exhibition of drawings from the Rovinj City Museum collection will open at the Italian Community.
At 9 PM, the main stage on the city’s main square will host a concert by Damir Urban, accompanied by a string quartet.

On Tuesday, September 16, the Traditional Fair will take place in the city center. At Marshal Tito Square, starting at 11:30 AM, there will be a free gastronomic offering and a performance by the band El Gato e le Volpi. The evening is reserved for local talent – young bands from Rovinj: Radiation, Reverse, and Acid Salvia, who will close this year’s program.
