Swimming marathon on the occasion of the celebration of St. Eufemia, patroness of the city of Rovinj-Rovigno

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Rovinj will once again host the traditional St. Euphemia Swimming Marathon, now in its 26th edition, organized by the Swimming Club Delfin Rovinj-Rovigno. Over 80 swimmers have already registered, and a record number of participants is expected, confirming that this marathon has become one of the most beloved sporting events on the Adriatic.

The event includes three races:

  • Mala Figarola (1,500 meters)

  • Velika Figarola (3,000 meters)

  • Children's race (50 meters), now in its second year, bringing extra joy to the youngest swimming enthusiasts.

The competition will take place in the beautiful Valdaliso Bay, located between the Martin Horvat Orthopedic Hospital, Hotel Amarin, and the municipal indoor swimming pool – a location that offers excellent conditions and a special atmosphere for both swimmers and spectators.

Race Details:
• Registration: Online at www.rovinjswim.com until September 12 at 24:00, or on race day from 9:00 to 10:30.
• Start Times:
 - Children’s 50m race: 10:45
 - Mala & Velika Figarola (1,500 m and 3,000 m): 11:00
• Award Ceremony & Group Lunch: 13:00

A new feature of this year’s marathon is the introduction of electronic timekeeping with wrist chips. Thanks to collaboration with Chip Timing from Pula, live results will be available at https://my.raceresult.com/353230/results, and a monitor at the finish line will display times and rankings in real time. After the race, participants will also be able to download digital certificates with their name, time, and placement.

All participants will receive:

  • Medals and trophies for the best finishers

  • Official race T-shirts

  • Professional photography

  • Free parking

Safety on the water will be ensured by boat crews, canoeists, and medical teams. The course will be clearly marked with buoys.
